Newnan Visit

We are finally home! We had a great trip down to Newnan! It was good to be back. It felt like we had never even left. We got to Matt's dad and stepmom's place around 8:00 on Friday, after a 4 hour drive. Between dropping our dog off with my parents and Atlanta traffic (which is NOT missed), it took forever!

We weren't really sure what Saturday held for us. We had some plans that fell through, which turned out ok. Matt's sister came over to do a developmental project on Finley. After she was done with that we all headed out for lunch. The day turned out to be pretty chill.

Saturday night we went to dinner with Laurel. She was a long term missionary in Nepal when Matthew went back in 2011. She was in town for a conference for a few days. So we were excited to have a reason to head down and visit! It was neat to hear them talk about their trips and her time overseas.

Sunday morning while I got ready for church, I was able to listen to Matthew play a little guitar. Finley loved listening to her daddy play :)

It was also good to go to our home church for a service and see our friends! We were lucky that we came back on the weekend our student choir was performing this weekend. It is always amazing to see so many young adults on fire for God!

After service we went to lunch with our community group.
Including kids we had 30 people! And that wasn't even everyone!! There were a few husbands missing and a few families that weren't able to make it!

That is a lot of people! We felt so loved that so many wanted to come spend time with us before we headed home!

We left right after lunch to head to my parents house to pick our dog. About 20 minutes before we arrived Finley crashed.... I wish she had waited until we were back on the road :)

It was so nice to arrive home last night! We were excited to come around the bend and see the city all lit up as the sun set! There was this feeling of "that is our city!" As much as we love Newnan and it felt good to be back. There is nothing like walking in your door and having that feeling of "this is home..."

Have a great week everyone! I will update again soon!
